A: Along with your
presents, will you be packing extra pounds this holiday
season? You can enjoy the festivities and watch your weight
by limiting yourself to seasonal delights. Indulge in
Grandmother’s peppermint soufflé but say “no” to
everyday, high calorie egg rolls and chips. Avoid “snack
and task” activities like sampling your own party
foods as you plate them. And before you bite, ask yourself: “If
I didn’t eat this today, could I have it another
time?” You’ll see that when you start to view
foods as always available, they invariably become a bit
less interesting and tempting.
