Starting out: An avid track team member in high school, Jenn joined a weight lifting club to improve her game on the field. “There were only four of us and I was the only girl, but I was highly competitive with the guys and wanted to be just as tough.”
Role model: “My grandma Mackinnon,” says Jenn. “She’s 95 years old and has lived an active, healthy lifestyle her whole life! She’s proof that taking care of your body is the key to longevity!”.
Her plan: As a trainer, Jenn loves to teach and take boot camps to keep her workout regimen dynamic and fun. “I run outdoor boot camps four days a week,” says Jenn, who lifts weights three days a week, making sure to give herself enough rest between sessions. “And on Wednesdays I go for long runs.”
What drives you to push yourself one step further? “Honestly, Dory from the movie Finding Nemo when she says, ‘Keep on swimming, swimming.’ It makes me smile!”
