Getting into Fitness: “I got involved in weight
lifting my senior year of high school and really enjoyed
it,” she says. “Then I met a competitive bodybuilder
and knew right away I wanted to be up there, on stage.”
Her workout: “When getting ready for a show, I
generally lift weights four days per week and do an hour
of cardio five or six days per week,” Alicia says. “In
the off-season, I focus on lifting – that’s
my bulk-up time!”
Athletic goals: Alicia plans to train for a mixed martial
arts competition. “I’ve always been interested
and it’s becoming very popular for female fighters,” she
says. “I also plan to get my pro card in the NPC
and become a cover model for Oxygen.”
Best advice: It’s tough being judged on your physical
appearance. “Just remember the girl standing beside
you on the stage pushed through it, so don’t wimp
out,” she adds.
