Young Ambition
She may have just turned 18 a few months ago, but this Sagittarius already has a number of athletic accomplishments to be proud of. Not only was she ranked among the top 50 in tennis in the state of Alabama, she’s also been a successful Figure competitor since 2010, earning herself a spot in the Nationals.
Girl Power
While she makes sure to incorporate cardio into her weekly training schedule, like HIIT sessions on the StairMaster, Miriam considers herself to be more of a weights junkie. “I love knowing that I’m building my muscles and sculpting my dream body,” she says. “I also love the look on guys’ faces when I leg press 450 pounds for six reps!”
Fit Future
Miriam plans to continue competing in hopes of obtaining an IFBB Pro card and one day, getting on the biggest stage in the sport of Figure – the Olympia. Until then, she’ll continue to hit the gym hard, pushing through every last set. “I tell myself that it’s not supposed to be easy. Then, I focus on the muscle group I’m working and picture it looking toned and beautiful.”
What is your favorite move?
“I love any move that works my legs because I feel like they’re my weak area. Deadlifts would have to be my favorite though, because they’ve helped me build my glutes.”
