Didn’t we just toast to 2013? It seems like I was just writing down my resolutions to 1) never drink again, and 2) work out, tone up and slim down. The holidays came and went; my goal to get fit didn’t amount to much more than a few visits to the gym and requesting dressing on the side of my starter salad – once.
New Year’s resolutions are well and good, but I was missing an action plan. Just when I remembered that I make this mistake every New Year’s, Oxygen’s expert nutritionists and trainers came to the rescue with their 90-day Best Body Challenge. You might have seen it in the magazine. The challenge combines an at-home training program with a meal plan to help you maximize your results.
Well, challenge accepted. I’ll be starting on Monday.
I’m a bit nervous – I think my personal best for push-ups is two, and I’ll need to figure out how to stick to the meal plan without sacrificing my social life. But, if you would, join me in picturing where you’ll be three months from now (our readers on the East coast, close your eyes and ignore the wall of snow outside for a second). It’ll be May. My summer wardrobe will awaken from its hibernation in the back of my closet. I’ll be planning a getaway that certainly involves swimwear. I’ll start shaving my legs again. And I want this to be my best summer yet – with no bikini cover-ups in sight. Who’s with me?
